Garment Beginner Class-Bend



In this class students will learn how to read a pattern for sewing simple pajama bottoms.  Students will learn placement of pattern on fabric aaccording to grain, how to mark notches, press seams, hem and insert elastic.  

Supplies needed
Working sewing machine with basic foot (edging foot optional but helpful)
Palmer Pletsch Pattern Beginner #002 (we sell)
Cotton fabric (suggested flannel) in yardage indicated for desired size on pattern envelope:  3 yards most likely if you don't mind a little extra.
Must be pre-washed, dried and ironed
1 3/8 yard of 3/4" elastic
Tape measure, 0.5 x 36mm glass head pins, scissors, preferred marking tool - NOT frixion or erasable kind
Polyester thread (not 100% cotton) to match fabric
