Quilting Bee 2024

•          On the third Saturday of each month, we will have a quilt block kit available for you to pick up at no charge between the hours of 10 and 3. Your kit will contain the fabric needed to build your block.
•          You search for the pieces of the quilt block hidden around the store. It’s a scavenger hunt!
•          If you are unable to pick up the block on the 3rd Saturday of the month between 10 and 3, then you can get the block any time after that for a fee of $5 (no exceptions!).
•          You may send a non-Quilting Bee participant in to pick up your block, but you cannot have a friend pick it up who is participating in the Quilting Bee. (It is great fun to see the spouse looking for pieces.)
•          Sometime in January or February the following year, we have a great big party and hang all the quilts up ahead of time that are completed per the rules (handed out on the first quilting bee).
•          Those quilts that follow the rules will be eligible for a drawing which includes prizes that will shock and amaze you!
•          To participate all you must do is sign up and show up. Please do register because we need to know how many kits to cut.

EXTRA SPECIAL BONUS: If you do not want to make a quilt top, you can still participate by making a GARMENT! The garment needs to be a wearable adult size and has to be primarily made from the approved fabrics. (Do not register for the Quilting Bee if you are making a garment. All you will need to do it submit by the deadline and purchase your party ticket.)

So:

1.             Register for Quilting Bee. (It’s free!) We’re running April-November in 2024.
2.             Pick up your block kit on the third Saturday of the month 10am-3pm. ($5 late fee.)
3.             Assemble the 8 block kits, design your own block and put together an amazing quilt top.
4.             Register and attend the party (small fee) for fellowship and prizes.
