Basic Sewing Skills

We will be using the Make 1-hour gifts book.  This a great class to learn how to read patterns.  How to do basic sewing.

Supplies needed
Sewing machine in good working order
Power cord and foot control for machine
All your feet that came with machine
Manual for machine if you have it
Cutting Mat 
rotary cutter
Pins or Wonder Clips
Hand sewing needles
sewing thread
Turning tool
Sewing machine needle Microtex 80/12
Seam Ripper

We will be happy to help you select your fabric.

Cotton Batting; 1 piece at least 10 x 10
Buttons; 8 Assorted fun flat buttons with holes
Thread to topstitch around square
Please have fabric ready for your class

Fat quarter: Cut (2) 12 1/2 x 9 1/2
Fat quarter:  Cut (1) 12 1/2 x 12
Cotton Batting or Soft and Stable:  Cut 14 x 11 (If you have a question fill free to talk to one of us)
1/2" Magnetic Snap
